| About: | Designed for children four months to 10 years old, this museum features four permanent galleries and two others hosting traveling exhibits. Visitors are encouraged to use all of their senses to explore the many things there are to see and do. They can be in the spotlight on the sound stage, crawl through the maze of tunnels in the giant ant hill, create a thunderstorm, operate a huge crane and much more. Activities and performances by singers, dancers, jugglers and storytellers take place daily. This is truly a place where 'learn to play, play to learn' is more than just a phrase. If the sound of children squealing with delight bothers you, be advised not to visit. |

When it's time to go...children start crying ~: Unfortunately the title of this review exemplifies the stamp of approval characterized by many children. This place is one of the most immersive play environment's that a child can believe in for a long time.
Sequestered conveniently in the midst of local landmarks, eateries, eclectic shopping spots in downtown St. Paul, MN; it reflects an era that's bygone of neighborhood camaraderie.
The Museum hosts reasonable prices and a wholesome clean ambience. Also staff that are friendly and ready to assist or play with you and your children.
The "process" of play which is valuable in child development, is encouraged. Moreso than a "product" of play, an art project to show what you did; which can be discouraging in child development. Although there are fun things to make and take!
If you're ever in Minnesota it will be worth your journey to stop on by and visit. Come by car, bus or have your ride drop you off. It's an excellent walking area to take in the sights! Come on...do you want to play a game?
The Best: I Love taking my kids to the children museums they love to explore and learn new things.
