About:Hearty egg and potato dishes accompany a wide selection of fresh bread. As you might expect, the Day by Day Cafe doesn't serve alcohol, but you certainly won't miss it with the nice, strong Dunn Bros. Coffee flows freely for the price of a single cup. The dining room is spacious, brick-lined and decorated with unique art. During the summer months, the back patio is open for a remarkably pleasant experience, but get there early on weekends to avoid crowds. Dinner is also served on weekdays. Early-rising or nocturnal locals get there before 7am for the Very Early Bird special, but prices are reasonable all day. Cash or cheque only.

    Definitely different ...: This place is quirky and fun. The food is also great. It's a good option for vegetarians. I like it for breakfast or lunch. The service is good. It's a nice place for those of us who live downtown.

    Wonderful Breakfast: Used to frequent this place at least once a month when I worked in St Paul. Great breakfast here.

    Yummy food: This is a great breakfast spot. I go there alone, or bring my 2 year old. The food is great (buckwheat pancakes are my fav.) There are thousands of little toys for the kiddies and a decent kids menu.

    The prices are a little high but not unreasonable. Service is sometimes slow, but I'm finding now that I'm a regular I get my coffee and order in no time flat.
