| About: | The Twin Cities has seen a number of microbreweries spring up in recent years, but this one is in the renovated 1914 Hamm Building, the original office building for the Hamm's Brewing Company of years past. It is the perfect spot for an informal business lunch or casual dinner. While sipping English ale try a plate of spicy chicken wings or ale-steamed mussels. The grilled flank steak, succulent breast of chicken with mushroom cream sauce or the walleye with rice pilaf beg for the colder, carbonated American-style ales. If you have a difficult time deciding which brew to order, ask for the sampler tray. |

This is the ticket. Fantastic range of beers for all walks. The food it top notch! I've had the wild rice burger and it was outstanding! Great bang for the buck. Atmosphere is great. Service is one of the best I have experienced. Never a empty pint! Wait time is negligible. Every time I visit I want to stay all night! Beware during hockey games it is a bit busy between 5 and 7pm. They do take reservations during these times! Happy Hour is a must. $2.50 pints (in the bar only) are you serious! If you are in Downtown St. Paul you must visit this pub!!!
Great choice downtown: I live downtown and this is such a great option. I have never been disappointed with the service or the food. They also have great vegetarian options. I will be a customer for many years to come.
a MUST STOP for serious beer lovers: A brilliant local-minded brew pub that can rank with the best of those in Portland Oregon -- and that's saying something! Five+ hand-crafted brews on tap. The dark rich "pot hole" porter is heaven. These folks know that cask-conditioned ales are NOT served at refrig temps. Knowledgeable and friendly servers. Dinner was also surprisingly good: ample portions, good quality, very reasonable prices. In the historic Hamm Building amist St. Paul's burgeoning downtown restaurant scene on Saint Peter street.
