Mel-O-Dee Stables

I have been at this stable for 6 months, and I love it! My mare is turned out everyday, I have her on 3 supplements and they are always given to her! There is a very laid back atmosphere which is nice for a barn, hardly any drama. The barn owner is very sweet and cares about the boarders and the horses very much! The price is very nice and the boarders are always willing to help out with anything and answer any kind of questions!

I have been at Mel-O-Dee Stables for five years now and I just love it! The staff and boarders are great and they really care about the horses. The horses are turned out daily and are fed twice a day. They also have their stalls cleaned and bedded each day. The staff is very responsive about contacting you should they notice anything out-of-the-ordinary with your horse. They also don't charge anything extra for services such as blanketing like some other stables do. Mel-O-Dee has two roomy arenas and a comfortable club room, too. A most pleasant, economical and easygoing stables!!

I boarded at Mel-O-Dee for 10+ years. When I first started boarding there the place was in good repair and the barn staff was on top of things. Now the owners have aged (lovely people that just love horses) and so has the barn. There are some nice people and some not so good - as all barns are. I feel that the place needs a lot of love put back into it and more knowledgeable staff need to be put in charge. During the last year - my horse was injured terribly and the situation was handled very poorly. If you want to ride - there are lessons all of the time and it can be hard to fit in the arena. As far as dirt roads to ride on - they are far and few now - with all of the construction and expensive home popping up everywhere. As I stated before this was once a wonderful atmosphere in which I have very fond memories off - but it has not aged gracefully.
