| About: | Spread across about 500 acres, natural habitat is the emphasis in this vast zoo. The animals are here but they often have wide-open spaces in which to roam, so be patient when looking for them. To aid in the spotting of animals, visitors may ride an overhead monorail. Five themed trails lead visitors around. The Minnesota Trail focuses on animals native to the state while the Tropics Trail include encounters with Komodo dragons, leopards and gibbons. The Northern Trail features wolves, moose, musk oxen, Siberian Tigers and wild Asian horses. An IMAX is also onsite. Admission: USD12 adults USD8.25 seniors USD7 children (3-12). |

We Love Our Zoo!: The fact that we went here for the first time in the dead of winter and had an amazing experience and a great and memorable day says it all! They have an indoor zoo as well as outdoor exhibits. You can ride the monorail and get a great look over the whole place if you dont feel like walking outside. Also the have the IMAX right there so movies and educational videos are close at hand and they take such good care of the animals and the zoo itself. We highly reccomend this zoo to anyone!
Never visited a better zoo!: The animals look well cared for here. There's a tram you can ride to take a quick look over the whole zoo (and I mean "over" in the literal sense). The food was even reasonably priced. You can even see movies here, as it is connected with IMAX Theatres. Prices are steep for the theatre, but definitely worth the experience. You will not be disappointed!
