Make this a stop when your looking to get something done.
I have just finished phase one of a two part tattoo project. This was my fist tattoo. One is between my belly button to my private parts (part one). The other (part two) will be on my back. I spend a month working out a set of designs. I met with the owner Josh who asked me about the designs and his thoughts. He as simple and to the point. He would have sounded rude to other people maybe but I respected the honesty.
I was told about what could and could not be done. I made the choice against his advise to have the lower tattoo done first. I make that choice because after speaking to him worked out something new on my back.
I waited for my appointment that following week for a while. Again most people would have been upset at what appeared to be a slow staff again i thought well maybe that is the way its done being that this is my first time. I was again right. The artist showed me a final design for my bottom tattoo which we started on the day of my appointment.
He worked fast and without alot of conversation. I was worked on for about an hour. I would have liked more of a break but then again the pain would have lasted much longer also.
The results of first tattoo:
Painful but worth it!
The tattoo is more then I thought it could be. The detail is beyond compare.
I will be headed back in a couple of months for my other tattoo on my back.

I have had quite a few tattoos from all over the country. The last three I have had have all been from Josh Edwards at Aloha Monkey. As long as I am still living in Minnesota, I will not have anyone else tattoo me. His style, professionalism, and customer service are second to none. All the other artists in the shop are very friendly and all seem to treat customers with courtesy and respect...at least the 3x I have been tattooed there and the other 3x that I have had consultations. I highly recommend Aloha Monkey for any/all tattoo needs/wants. They could school a few doctors and dentists in ways to keep work space sanitary as well!! The shop is clean..top notch! I am going back for another in a few months. Thanks Josh Edwards and the rest at Aloha Monkey!
