I would also not recommend this dealer. I have had problems with warped brake rotors and rear wheels that the guys in the Grossman oil change could not remove to rotate. Complained to Steve McMahan the Service Manager and they had their regular service Tec. beat the back tires off, rotated the tires and then proceeded to hammer the lug nuts back on with an impact wrench. I informed Mr. McCann that they should be using a torque wrench or torque sticks per General Motors and torque to 100 foot pounds per GM factory specs. Instead of being a professional, McMahan said his technicians were so good they didnât need to use a torque wrench. Guess where I was again today with warped rotors! This is also the cause for the rear wheels not comming off. That can be a real problem if you get a flat! Even the guys at Tires Plus and Samâs Club are professional enough to follow the GM specifications! If a factory trained âMr. Goodwrenchâ can screw something, up as simple as a tire rotate and their Service Manager condones not doing it by the book, then they are not working on my car again!
I would NOT RECOMMEND buying from these people. I've boughten two cars within less than a year from them. I was initially impressed with the G6 (first car we bought) but just two weeks ago we bought a 2008 Grand Prix and are sorely disapointed. My husband went to put air in the tire and when he went to screw off the cap on the tire, it just completely fell off and the whole tire went flat because of it!!! We've only had it for two weeks!!!
Then we spoke with the manager (Kevin) who was less than professional. He kept interupting me from the get go. He was very pretencious in his demeanor, refused to understand that this was a problem and told us we shouldn't be worried about it but that he doesn't know if we'll have to pay for it. Again, we just bought it and traded in a nicer car for it just 2 weeks ago!!! I then told him that if they do not take care of it that that would be poor customer service and that I would have to take action and contact corporate and other sources with my complaint. He then told me not to threaten him. I was not yelling or acting biligerant in any way - just simply stating that if they can't provide better service than that because it was obviously a preexisting defect (that doesn't just happen after two weeks) that I would have to take action by means of filing a formal complaint. Stating that you will utilize your consumer rights if need be is not a threat! Management needs to be prepared to accept complaints and listen to the consumer if he can't handle a complaint than he needs to find employment else where.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM GROSSMAN! They're great until you sign the dotted line. Then the customer service goes out the window, their rude, refuse to do their job and don't hold up to their warranties.
Family and friends have bought vehicles from Grossman. Great staff, always willing to work with me on current and future needs. I would definitely recommend them for buying a car.
