Nobody does it like Tonkadale. Seriously, the place is pure magic: winter, spring, summer, or fall. My husband and I go there year round just to treat our retinas to a blast of color and our lungs to some super-oxygenated air. In winter, it's like going to the tropics, without having to leave home. Truly, every plant in the place is a specimen. No droopy, buggy, spindly plants here. And if you're looking for one-of-a-kind, handmade items, they've got them, too. You really won't believe the place until you've been there. They make Bachman's look like Home Depot! And the people who work there are great. The owners are friendly, the staff is knowledgeable, and they even serve popcorn and bottled water to their customers. It's the best kept secret in the Twin Cities.
