I stopped by Chef Louie's on a recommendation from a friend of mine. He told me I needed to order up the prime rib cannoli, so I did. It was fantastic! My wife had beef tenderloin and linguine, which was the special of the night. We also ordered up the combo platter appetizers, which was explosion of tastes in itself.
Service was exceptional, our waitress was very friendly and checked on us enough to keep us satisfied but not enough to be annoying. The host was very nice and quite knowledgeable on local things and news.
The decor was almost 1960's supper club, which was fun in itself. Linen napkins and excellent food, all for a very reasonable price.
I can't wait to stop back in again.
Excellent choice of steaks and wines. The walleye fillets are a great compliment to the selection of steaks. It great to know we have an excellent place to eat the three nights a year we spend in Mitchell during our yearly pheasant hunt. The staff is also excellent and they provide a very friendly atmosphere for the guys after the days hunt.
PS: Be sure to ride the city bus if you have a few beers, its a great service the city provides.
Flew in from Central Florida, have been to high end restaurants all over the world and the US. I'll have to say that the best ribeye I have ever had was served here. The wine selection would rival any restaurant anywhere as well.
