convenient location but so are many other motels in the area with rates same or lower than Happy Holiday Motel / Resort. Paid up front for six nights but left after five. Fritz the motel/resort manager reneged on a promise of issuing a credit for the sixth night. Will never again stay at the Happy Holidays Motel / Resort in Rapid City, South Dakota.

User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGreat Location and Lots of Amenities: About five miles south of Rapid City and only fifteen minutes from Mt. Rushmore you'll find this clean, well tended park. The people are friendly, they escort you to your site, and they offer all the amenities including 50amp service and free wi-fi internet. Swimming pool, hot tub, game room, convenience store, even gas and diesel fuel are all available here. They do charge extra for cable TV and the channels are limited and the reception is lousy but otherwise, this is a great place to call home for a few days
