As a young airmen, back at the turn of the coldwar, this cafe was always usually a nightly thing for me. I loved to study and read my favorite books here at this cultural well spring of existance nestled comfortably next to the Red River. I've many fond memories of Grand Forks at that time but I don't think I could have made it as nice a stay w/o this coffee shop. I hope to come back some day.
This was my first time at the Urban Stampede. I loved the little booths, and the whole place the way it looked. I felt so at home. The coffee was perfect to my taste and the girl behind the counter was very nice. Yes there was a few college students, but that didnt bother me, maybe perhaps it was not as busy as a previous review. I loved looking at the Smallest Gallery in the World!!!
I went to the Urban Stampede based on a review that i read. The appearance of the place is appealing and the girl serving the coffee is really nice and the wireless internet is awesome but how many college students can you cram into the little space with the itty bitty tables and the almost to small to comfortably sit booths. There is not many options in this town for wireless so like many college students, i am forced to compromise.
