User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI've had some great experiences with the Penthouse. Jessica is a great hairstylist who is able to understand exactly what you want. She helped me figure out what I wanted BEFORE she did anything so we were on the same page. Great service and I'll definitely be back!

I went in to the Penthouse because my hairdresser at Studio Montage moved so I figured I would give the Penthouse a shot. I am very familiar with Aveda products and knew this was an Aveda salon so I expected no less than the best. Boy, was I wrong!! Donna did such a terrible job on my hair that I cried the ENTIRE way home. She was double booked so in order to get the other lady done she half way blow dried my hair and it was still damp when I left. She said she did that so it wouldn't be "puffy"!!!!! The layers were so bad that even Don said that the job she did on my hair should be a crime!! He had to fix what he could, but ultimately she destroyed what I took 6 months to grow out for a particular haircut that I wanted(a line bob). Not to mention that it was $100 and 4 hours of my time wasted. By the way such a "high class" salon should not be charging for a can of diet coke! In every Aveda salon I have been to drinks were complimentary. I WON'T be back!!

Don is fantastic: Reasons to love the Penthouse:
1. Don is fantastic.
2. They don't accept tips.
3. Yummy smelling Aveda products.
4. They stock diet coke.
