Beef and Brew.
As far as a brewpub goes, this is just average. But, as far as Bozeman goes, this is a good place to stop for a handcrafted beer, some pool, and some grub.
The bar is small, and can be packed if you come at the wrong time. The tables are strangely corralled, and there's a nice semi-outdoor patio off of Main Street that has a few tables.
If you stick with the Montana Fare, you can't go wrong. Steak, burgers, ribs.... Delicious...
Definately avoid the off-montana items such as the fish tacos... I ordered these once, and my brother said "you know you're in Montana, Right?". He was right... No finesse, floppy, messy, nasty, un-mexican. I've heard others say that they like them, but, obviously, these are people that have never tried a real fish taco.
The crowd is mixed and lively, and it's a nice hang out. Food is served at the bar as well as the tables, so, take your pick.
One other thing. If you're gonna do a steak, burger, or some ribs... Start it off with the Wedge salad. It's really good. Huge hung of iceberg, covered with a blue cheese dressing and tons of bacon. Delicious, and, will keep you regular after your huge beef indulgence.
Great food, good brews and a nice atmosphere. The appetizers are unique and delicious. The main courses are great as well. Steaks are good and cooked to order.
Billiards hall portion of the restaurant is nice and there is plenty of space for the kids.
excellent: great food, a bit loud and not super kid friendly
