Dave's Sushi-Off Main

I love Dave's, the food is great, and the rolls are creative. It should get five stars BUT.. the service is typically terrible, slow (understandable sometimes), getting a drink refill is like pulling teeth, and the staff is generally more concerned with gossiping than caring for customers. Once I had a misunderstanding about a gratuity (large parties are auto charged as it says on the receipt, so I didn't think to add extra); the waitress actually called one of my party (she didn't know him, he just made the reservations) to tell him that she was going to charge a better tip for herself on my Credit Card!

Visited Dave's on the way through town on June 30, 2008. The place was very busy and the service was a little slow. But the food was worth the wait, epically the "Funky-Gump"!

So refreshing to find a sushi restaurant that doesn't have pretentious servers or rollers. You can ask any seemingly dumb question that a sushi virgin might have. The beer /wine/sake selection is great and you will be hard pressed to find a more affordable price on a cold can of Olympia for those college kids not in the bottle of sake price range. I would highly recommend this sushi shop to anyone looking for great food, fun staff and a relaxing atmosphere.
