North Bay Grille

My wife and I were very disappointed with the food at this restaurant. It is unfortunate since we live in the area.
My first impression was good. The ambiance was comfortable and attractive. The maitre die was cold, not welcoming, and the service were strange, Disneyland style. We excused these as peripheral and unimportant. We shouldn't have.
We ordered drinks, mine a cocktail, my wife's wine. Both were short, mine normally served chilled was room temperature.
Our appetizers were average but again skimpy. Our main dishes were good but the sides were unacceptable. The vegetables were stringy and the rice was dry and poorly flavored. We didn't venture for desserts, but went elsewhere.
We will continue to drive to the towns both North and South of Kalispell to get acceptable fine food. North Bay Grille does not make the cut.

Their food and service are the best I have ever had in Montana. I had the brie puff pastry and I swear it's what angels eat. Their Tiramisu was absolutely heavenly. Cold cucumber/avacado soup was so good I could eat it every day. Their wait staff was amazing. I can't wait to return! Very expensive, however....but soooo worth it.

The food is fantastic,Baked French Onion Soup,coconut shrimp,steak was out of this world, their blue cheese-walnut salad dressing is so good.They have Creme Brulle also excellent(if you have room that is)I have eaten there many times,never been dissapointed,there is a full bar,Pina Colada better than any in Cabo.The staff spoil you,romantic yet great for a family.Its close to major hotel in downtown Kalispell. Don't miss this place you will return time after time
