I had a Plecostomus that got too big for my tank. They took it and even offered to give me a smaller one (which i didnt take because it too would probably grow too big). Several other local pet stores were not willing to take it, so i am happy that i was able to find a place that it could survive.

They also have a very large fish tank supply area with lots of plants, even more than petco. Although, i would agree that the place could be a little cleaner.

I've been using Best Pets for all our pet needs (and there are many) and they are absolutely wonderful. They are extremely knowledgeable and accommodating and I have been a patron of their store since they first opened. Any problems or concerns I may have had over the years were quickly and cheerfully resolved. Best Pets is just that, THE BEST, and if anyone else disagrees then the problem is with them, not the store.

Best Pets is a great pet store - both to their animals and their employees. I worked there for quite a few months and the Best Pets staff was always on top of things to keep the place clean, safe, and to keep the animals healthy. The puppies are all very healthy, even though yes, they do get sick sometimes. The puppies do come with a health guarantee, though, as stated here a couple of times, and the staff is available twenty four hours a day to help out with any issues. Where else do you get that kind of service? The puppies are all cared for, paid attention to very carefully, and vet checked. I personally took the puppies to the vet during my employment. The vet was not paid off in any way, and any problems like colds that the puppies had were treated immediately. Any puppies that got sick were NOT sold to the public. If any puppies happened to get sick after being taken home, the health guarantee covered it. Those puppies were some of the happiest I have ever seen of any pet store animals. They are not kept in small plastic cages and get much social interaction unlike pet stores that are chains. The prices of the puppies at Best Pets is VERY fair for their quality selection. The best thing about Best Pets is that their puppies do not come from puppy "mills" or puppy "farms" like most other places. Truly, only the best pets come from Best Pets.

Best Pets carries many items that you also cannot find elsewhere. Their dog food selection is amazing, as is their cat food. There are so many choices and healthy alternatives to a "Wal-mart" brand of pet food, the Best Pets staff is very knowledgeable and will always help you find what's best for your pet. The birds aren't kept in tiny cages crammed together. The fish tanks are always stocked with LIVE and healthy fish. Pets do not get sick at Best Pets. The temperature does NOT affect animals health. The staff genuinely cares about the animals and that is hard to find these days. When I worked there many times I brought the puppies home with me just so they could get used to being around people and so they wouldn't be alone through the night. Best Pets is a second home for all animals that are bought there.
