There are no laws that govern who can teach martial arts. So it can be very difficult to decipher the good from the bad and choose the right school for your needs, goals and ability. It is important to ask questions and do a little research before enrolling in any program. At American Tiger Karate Academy we teach the full curriculums in Shotokan Karate and Okinawan Kobudo. Everything from the health enhancement components of the arts, self defense applications of the movements and how these can be adapted to be used successfully in sport competition. We separate our classes into age appropriate groups. We even offer a sport enhancement fitness class based on drills used by US Olympic competitors to develop explosive muscle movements for speed, strength, ability and agility. Our instructors do not have college degrees and certifications in marketing, sales and business but rather in health, fitness, coaching, teaching and authentic martial arts. Because we believe that when we place your success, training, education, health and safety as our top priority, the sales and marketing will take care of itself .
