Lovely Thai Restaurant

LOVELY THAI....is lovely..., :) We eat there all the time. Long time CHICAGO resident who moved to Gurnee.... now as we all know there are so many GOOD restaurants in Chicago, but I would say LOVELY THAI is a must go and must eat restaurant.

The food is great. I usually get the Pad Thai or the PaD See Ew. However, there is one waitress that works there who is very unfriendly (she is the ONLY waitress there). She ripped us off one time by giving us the dinner menu instead of the lunch menu when we went at around 2pm (lunch is until 3pm). We would be regulars if it weren't for her.

I went to this restaurant over Valentine's Day weekend. Granted, it was a "holiday"...the place was half filled when we arrived. It took about 20 minutes before someone came to get our order. We were 4 adults and a child. To make a long story short, it took the 4 of us over 1 hr 15 min from placing the order to getting the food on our table (yes, I timed it). In the meantime, I noticed about 3 other couples who arrived, ordered, ate, then left - all while we still waited for our food.
The food was good (but not great). The portions were relatively small compared to other Thai restaurants. The waitress's were not appologetic on the delay. I'm going to stick with my 2 favorite Thai restaurants in Vernon Hills. Hopefully you'll have a better experience.
