Best fried chicken and fish fry around! Great staff and the prices are reasonable. I've never had a bad experience and my whole family loves going there :)

Went on Friday about 7:30 and there were about 50 people waiting so we left. Went back a couple weeks later at 5:45. and there were only about 20. Gave my name to the hostess and was told about 20 minutes wait. It was a beautiful afternoon so we sat at the benches outside. We were called in about 10 minutes. Being Friday we HAD to try the fish. After all we had been smelling it while waiting. First came some bread and sweet bread. AWESOME!!! The fish followed a couple minutes later. It was great!! The waitress checked back often and got us a re-order of fish promptly. It was reasonable(9.99) and I can't wait to return.

After hearing good things from co-workers about the food, I was looking forward to trying it for myself.
Well first impressions are everything I guess. We sat at the bar and the bartender took our order for a 8 piece chicken, after about five minutes the bartender came back and informed us that we could not have an 8 piece chicken and eat inside the restaurant, we would have to leave, the only way we could eat inside was to order the chicken dinners.(which came with a side)
I was doing all I could do to not walk out of the place because I really wanted to give crandalls a chance, to find out what the hype was about. So we ordered the chicken dinners which was supposed to be two orders of 4 piece dinners. Which came out to be one plate of 3 piece chicken and the other with 4 peices, and to top that off the pieces were mainly all wings. The chicken was no better than wal-marts rotissery. Needless to say I will never go back, and I will not recommend the restaurant to others.
