My son just turned one and is watched by his grandparents three days out of the week. I thought Little Gym could help me meet other moms, and help him form his socialization skills. We showed up and there were a few of the children missing, but we both had soo much fun. You apply hand sanitizer to both you and your childâs hands; the entire room is disinfected before the kids are allowed to enter. The teacher who is also a mom, and has her own daughter in the class; is very energetic, very encouraging and it is a little bit of a workout for the moms too. My son had soo much fun the teacher knows what she is doing, she works on showing the moms to spot their children, the kids do summersaults, hang off the bars, play with all different kinds of equipment, the teacher kept reminding us moms to build their tummy muscles. I am going to enroll him for the 4 week class for Birds. I like the fact that it is close to home, and it will allow my son to let out all his energy during the winter months.
This Little Gym place is fantastic. We just signed up with their 50% off promotion that they are running until March 22, which makes it very affordable. From the people we talked to at the class, and from my kid's experience in the class, this is going to be a long-term relationship!
Excellent staff and a fantastic facility make classes and birthday parties (we been to both) at this Little Gym fun and worthwhile. They even have a 'babysitting' night to give us parents a break in the evening. Our kids started at 6 months (I think they let you start at 3 months) in parent-child classes, and our oldest is now doing their Dance (Tap and Ballet and Rythmic Gymnastics all in one class!) and Karate, as well as the regular Gymnastics class. Our youngest just stated their Sports Skills class and loves it. This place provides a great start for kids, but when your kid is older, this place is NOT for those who have olympic dreams for their kids. While they certainly have skill development, they are more focused on social and developmental aspects of the kids... which I think is great.
