I absolutely LOVE ZaZa's! Not at all a trendy hot spot. However, it makes up for it in the quality of service and food standards. Dean is the best and only server we will have when we go there. The Delmonico steak is out of this world! The only one that holds a flame to it is the actual Delmonico's restaurant in New York. The Pasta with Vodka sauce is mouth watering! Prices look steep at first, but you have to remember that you get soup AND salad with every meal! The portions per $ is extremely reasonable.
This truly was the worst dining experience I have ever had. We received our appetizers an hour after placing them, had to go up to the bar to get my own drinks, had to complain to managment that after 2 hours, we had only been served our appetizer and soup still waiting for salad and entrees. At 10:45pm with an 8:00pm reso, we received our Salmon Oscar, which looked wonderful until we discovered it was raw and mushy in the middle. We had to ask for our waiter 3 times before he came to our table to ask how everything was. Then just took the entrees away and didn't come back. We didnt know what was happening??? He brings us the check, doesn't ask if we would like coffee and dessert. He informs us his management took the salmon off the bill, but he had to charge us ala carte prices for the soup and salad (that came with the entree, not ordered ala carte). I was completely applauded! After 3 hours, and $18 for 2 cups of soup and 2 dinner salads I had given up. I wasn't even going to bother speaking to management again. This restaurant clearly cares about volume and not quality of service or product. Overbooking to make the most money you can for the night will hurt you in the long run. It was obvious that other dinners had similar experiences as ours. Maybe next time they won't be so greedy and take more reservations then they can handle.
Management is very unprofessional, actually said to me we're busy what do you want me to do? He said, "hey i can buy you a round of drinks or something" I replied I don't want a free drink, I just want the dinner I ordered in a reasonable time- not asking for too much am I???
The food and service were very good. The dining area is a little small, so I would definitely suggest making reservations on the weekend.

I Have Not Been There In Awhile But, You Are Correct... They Should Have Given You Free Everything & Begged Your Understanding....The Last Time We Were There It Was Not As Good As It Used To Be Either... Too Bad Because It Was A Very Good Place A Few Years Ago...
