User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI stay home and make my own pancakes now. The experience I had a few months back was awful. I went to use the ladies room and decided I didn't have to go that bad...it was absolutely disgusting! The food was nothing special but of course I was having doubts about eating after my bathroom experience....and then on the way out by the check out ...I kid you not ...there was a bloody gauze laying on the floor by the register. I'll make pancakes, bacon, and eggs at home from now on!
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI've lived in McHenry almost my whole life, and this IHOP used to be the place to eat after midnight.
Unfortunately as of late they've been hiring idiots. Last time I went (Which forced me to swear off IHOP forever) our waitress took forever to come take our order...we waited an hour for food before we finally stormed out. She said that "something had come up" but that must happen a lot since I've heard this complaint from a few people who have been there. They had the gall to charge us for our drinks still.
This IHOP should NEVER be eaten at. I've even heard awful things lately about their breakfast service. The corporate office didn't care about my plight either, or the store manager. The night manager let our terrible waitress push him around. It was completely ridiculous.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsDon't get me wrong, the food at any IHOP is excellent, but my last dining experience at this particular restaurant, left me asking myself...will I ever go to another IHOP? The cook in back was loudly blasting his music. I felt like I was in a Mexican Cantina. When I was ready to pay my bill, I was greeted by a gentlemen who was not wearing any one item to distinguish himself as an employee, let alone the manager. Instead, his shirt was open and had all these chains around his neck. He looked as if he was ready to go to a Disco. It was disgusting. I thought to myself...am I really going to hand my credit card over to this character?? Horrible dining environment at this place!!
