I've been a shopper at FairHaven for many years and I can clearly vouch for the great service this company provides. Fairhaven has been in the community for many years and is very familar with the area. They are ALWAYS EXTREMELY helpful above all else. They are very knowledgable on all aspects of the medical supply field. I've NEVER had a problem or heard of anyone having any type of problem with this very respectable buisness. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area that is looking for great supplies at very respectable prices.

My wife and just left Fairhaven Medical Supply in Mundelein. I can honestly say we have NEVER!!! been treated so rudely or with such poor customer service. The only greeting we received when we approached the counter was from a thin framed,dark haired woman (using that term loosely) that loudly said to us what do you need? I answered that we were here to look at crutches and a wheelchair. She loudly said, who are they for?, are you having surgery? (Whatever happened to patient privacy?) We were told that we would have to wait, because she only had 4 minutes to finish an order. While she was filling her order and mumbling all along, she continued to chastise her co-worker and another woman to the point of embarrassment for everyone in the store. (The lady just sat on the bench in front of the counter looking shocked,) When she did finally approach us on the floor she was very curt, and matter of fact. Any question we tried to ask was immediately CUT OFF by her standard answer about what the insurance would and would not do. That was NOT what we were asking! She was so abrupt with her answers, and her actions, that we ended up walking out without any help,and in such disbelief about what had just happened! She was the most UNPROFESSIONAL sales person that I have ever encountered! I would never return to or recommend Fairhaven knowing that this woman is allowed to treat customers( and apparently co-workers too) like they are garbage! She clearly does not like her job, is not effective in her job, nor in my opinion, should she be allowed to have her job! I am in the medical profession, and would never think to treat the people that I treat on my ambulance the way this awful woman treats store patrons. It is true that we ALL have bad days, but it is apparent by this cold, snippy woman's demeanor that this IS her TRUE personality. She should never be allowed to work in your showroom again! I work in a very public setting and assure you that I will discourage anyone I can from exposing themselves to your staff. I feel sorry for the lady that has to work with her, and for any other poor sole that has to endure her wrath! She is out of line, and needs to be looking for new work.. and preferably not with the public! Please do yourselves the service of really looking at this person, and making the changes that need to be made. There NO excuse for her actions, and I advise to anyone reading this to utilize another company, or shop online for your supplies! 6/2/10
