I live near The Shanty and I eat there multiple times a week and have ALWAYS had the BEST food at The Shanty, in fact, the restaurant is on The Food Network this next Monday night. I recommend this place to everyone I know, there is just nothing like it. It is too bad that there are people like the reviewer "unsatisfied customer." I read the bad review and then clicked on their link and they just wrote an almost identical negative review for another local restaurant, The Backyard Steak Pit, saying they got sick on their food...it's a shame there are so many jealous people out there!

I am a fan of Shanty's! This place is small, but the drinks are great, the portions are huge and the quality of food can't be beat. It is perfect for Triple D, (othewise known as Diner's, Drive - In's and Dives. The prime rib was like butter, if you are a fan of medium rare. The Alaskan King crab legs was fantastic. But, the real treat for me there was the Steak Pasta soup. It was definitely home - made. It was full of the same tender steak, I ordered along with vegetables, pasta and a beef stock to make you just say, "Yummy for the tummy".

If you are a regular or just come in from time to time, the waitstaff is warm and friendly, even if you do show up 10 minutes before the kitchen closes. Right now, before the show airs on the Food Network, try and make a trip up to Wadsworth. You won't be dissappointed. "Everything on the Menu is Good!"
