User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat Service and Outstanding Food: I would like to say this is the best IHOP in the world the food is always hot and service is great. The past 2 comments are not anything close to the service I always recieve from there. The managers are always nice and friendly. Thank you BUFFALO GROVE STAFF for great service.
User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsSlow Service at Buffalo Grove IHOP: The service at this particular IHOP is consistently poor during the evening hours. On our last visit (3/07) it took 10 minutes to get seated (and we were the only ones waiting during that time) at 8:30pm on a weeknight. The restaurant was approximately at 20% seated for the whole restaurant. After being seated, it took another 15 minutes before we asked a manager that we would like some service. The managers and wait staff seem to all have the attitude that they wished they didnt have to be there. The one redeeming factor is that the kitchen always makes our food promptly and is always hot and fresh upon delivery. To give you a little background, we occasionally dine at the restaurant approximately twice a month because of the convenience. Let me reiterate to make this clear. The food isnt bad... it's just the "customer service".
If you want to go to an IHOP that's got their act together, go to the IHOP at 700 N. Milwaukee Ave, Vernon Hills, IL (Southwest corner of Rt 60 & Milwaukee Ave). The service and professionalism is top notch, down to the smallest detail. On our last visit, the waitress came back often to check up on us and was extremely polite. Another small observation: Buffalo Grove IHOP didnt have any comment cards at each table whereas the Vernon Hills IHOP did.
