User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis is a fantastic hardware store. I am a hardware-challenged shopper. But that is no problem at this store, because the staff is knowledgeable, and I have always found them to be helpful and friendly. It's amazing how much merchandise they carry. You have to see it to believe it. So the bottom line is, this store always has what I need, and I'm in and out in no time. I wish more stores were like this.

Millen may just be the best hardware store on the North Shore. I rarely need to go to the "big box" stores - Millen has just about everything, plus a very helpful and knowledgeable staff to steer you in the right direction. Now going to the hardware store takes 15 minutes, not an hour, and I get exactly what I need at very competitive prices.

The best Ace hardware: We don't know where the bad reviewer shopped at, but Millen is the best hardware store by far. We drive from Chicago up to Wilmette where Millen is located when we can't find what we want locally. Great service, huge selection, prices can be higher than a 'big box store' on some items, but Millen HAS it in stock, versus placing a special order and then waiting. I work nearby during the week and use them for both home and commerical items. Try them, you won't be disappointed.
