Just had their seafood buffet tonight (Friday) and it was unbelievable. I couldn't even try everything because there was just too much good stuff to pick from. They have caviar, sushi with fresh octopus, squid and crab, lots of sauces, all-u-can-eat crab legs, tilapia, mahi mahi, salmon, shrimp, gumbo, stuffed mushrooms, beef w/mushrooms, etc., etc. Just unbelievable. Fish prepared in all different ways from all over the world. I can't wait to go again.
SO GOOD, I WENT BACK... THREE MORE TIMES!!â - Grant Crowellâ - Today
First went there on a Wednesday, and they have one of the best views you'll find of any restaurant in the Fox Valley for sure. Many different dining seating from the private and semi-private (in a fun way like you're on a big old ship, but very cozy), to the bar â I chose to eat at the bar. Met Lola, who was fun company and excellent service. Had the Pretzel Crusted Walleye for lunch with roasted vegetable soup, and was outstanding. Had me already thinking about lunch the next day, and got the Cajun Catfish, which was excellently seasoned. Their Wisconsin ice cream is fabulous (and they have many versions with types of liquer and homemade fudge - yum!) Their Friday night dinner buffet (with lots of sushi) and their Sunday morning breakfast buffets (salmon, eggs, salads, waffles, champange with orange juice, roast been and ham cut for you, so many desserts, soups, the list goes on and on!) are not to be missed. I don't care how big of an appetite you say you have â you will not be able to eat everything they have, especially since you'll want a lot of the first few things you get!
They're located right off Route 31 and 62 and a great view from the Fox River. Parking is really easy and lots of spaces, and even during the colder time it feels warm outside there. :)
This is a restaurant that's normally seen as catering to long-time residents there, but its got a lot of promise for attracting a younger crowd, especially with their musicians there on weekends and some weeknights that are really appealing.
Port Edwards used to be a phenomenal restuarant. I think because of the tough times or their deterioating wait staff, they have resorted to buying cheaper food and charging higher prices to cover overhead. The food is getting worse and prices are going up and in the winter they don't have the heat on anymore :( . I hate to say they will probably be closing soon. I miss the OLD port edwards... it used to be sooooo good and pleasurable.
