I recently got engaged (thank you, thank you). Was, like many men, totally clueless about engagement rings other than a palpable fear of the cost. With the help of friends, I got the lowdown on the type of cut and band my fiance wanted, but didn't know anything about depth, table, clarity, color, etc.. I visited a few shops on Wabash that had good reviewes, but at the last second, my fiance's mother rec'd Wilmette Jewelers and Gayle Inbinder.

I was skeptical. I'm not really a north shore type and thought maybe my budget would be too small for such a location .... anyway, cutting to the chase, Gayle was the frickin' best. No pressure selling, showed me lots of options and a combination of stones / bands ... most importantly, she really talked me through how I should use my budget to get a ring that showed well (ie, she told me which facets of the ring are worth spending on and where you can ... I hate to say this ... cut corners). Totally made me feel comfortable.

One last great thing, I was in a rush and she put the ring together and shipped it to me when I was traveling so I could pop the question while we were on vacation.

By far and away the most friendly and informative diamond operation I visited (out of about 6 or 7). She earned my business for the wedding bands and wedding gifts as well.

I found out about Gayle Indinder and Wilmette Jewelers through a friend at work. I was shopping for an engagement ring, and I wanted to find the right jeweler to make the perfect ring for my girlfriend. So I made the trip from Schaumburg to Wilmette. Gayle was great to work with and showed me several loose center stones. She was also able to incorporate some family diamonds into the setting and the result is beyond perfect. My fiance loves the ring and she always gets compliments on it. In fact, we went back and purchased our wedding bands, and my fiance's ring was made exactly how she described it to Gayle. I would highly recommend Wilmette Jewelers if you want high-quality, beautiful pieces of jewelry. I will be moving to Minnesota later this year, but I will always keep Wilmette Jewelers in mind for my future jewelry purchases.

Last month I had the great pleasure of purchasing a diamond engagement ring from Wilmette Jewelers. Gayle listened to my needs, and my wants, and presented me with several stones and settings to look at that were around my budget. She worked with me patiently over several emails and visits and the result was the perfect ring for the perfect girl. Everyone who has seen the ring has been very impressed, and I look forward to working with Gayle again to find the perfect wedding bands!
