| About: | At Mirani's, we focus on the root of French gastronomy, Brasserie cooking. Our kitchen prepares meals with only the best ingredients of the season. But surely our focus on food has not deterred us from creating an elegant and stylish restaurant. Antique tapestries and paintings, Renaissance-style frescos, etc, reflect a classical yet contemporary French ambiance. And while the elegance of the space and the exclusivity of the customers dining at Mirani's matches its upscale North Shore location, there is also a comforting feel you only get from a family-owned business. User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI have seldom felt more unhappy dropping $180 on a casual weeknight meal. Three of us went to this restaurant based on glowing Yahoo reviews, and the low points of the meal were an $18 martini(!), a vile and burnt cup of coffee, the inattentive service (no water refills, although the restaurant was almost empty), an onion soup that was filled with breading, and a music background of 1960s easy-listening tunes that evoked no French bistro on the planet. The bread was delicious, and the potato chips (not frites) were a good touch. The steaks and whitefish were good, but the total experience was underwhelming and overpriced.

Absolutely excellent! The hostess and waitstaff are lovely, the atmosphere beautiful, and the food terrific!

Splendid place!: This new addition to the North Shore has a wonderful atmosphere, excellent menu (classic French) and a good wine list. We had fine service. I plan on going there many times. It is likely going to be a huge success.
