I visit the Addison location often considering I only moved to the area 2 months ago and I eaten there 5 or 6 times. It is always clean, the staff is always friendly and attentive enough, the food (love the multi-grain pancakes) has been good.
My first visit had me arriving around 3:00a. I was looking for a place to buy quarters for the laundry so I was compelled to purchase something before asking. They were not busy at all so I asked for hash browns browned on both sides without the use of oil. The manager came over, confirmed my request and explained that the order would take longer as it would be steamed. In 10 or 12 minutes he returned with hash browns slightly brown and crisped on one side. I didn't want to put them through anything that might injure our budding relationship so I said thank you, ate, got my quarters and went my way. I appreciate that they tried to accommodate me, but it was a simple request that they could have gotten right but did not.
Yesterday, I walked in, ordered just multi-grain pancakes and went right into the ladies room. I received the largest order I had ever seen anywhere -- 6 beautiful, regulation-size pancakes for $6, $7.01 with tax -- that was so much food! I wish the waitress had honored me with a helpful question like, 'what size would you like'. As I paid my bill, I mentioned that the order was really large. She said they had a smaller size but that I "didn't say what size" I wanted. She was obviously right. We agreed that if I didn't say what size again, then she would ask.
Today, the website directions were not clear so I called to ask for directions to the location when coming off of I355 for a friend coming in from Alsip. The staffer didn't know but gave the phone to one who asked, "you want directions to come here from 355!" Her tone had surprise in it when she asked that. She then asked which way I'd be coming from, which I also repeated. I then got directions that I could use.
All-in-all, I have met some nice staffers, eaten some good pancakes and had favorable experiences at this location. I should thank them though; after all, they even gave me something to write about.
The food is better than most restaurants around Addison and that says a lot since we are blessed by many restaurants in our area. I think the prices are a little high. The staff is very nice but intermittent, sometimes I would rave about the service but other times I have noticed they ignored, forgot or messed up parts of my order. Most of the time, they are quick and efficient which is a big plus when I am hungry. All in all, the food and variety is excellent, and this facility is open 24 hours a day.
they wouldnt accept coupons for ihop.apparently ,not accepted at their location.thks anyway
