Awful food in a beautiful setting. I go back every couple of years to see if they have fixed things. With a decent chef this place could be a winner (as it reportedly was about 20 years ago).
Overpriced, overrated and will never return.
We went to the Mill Race last night for dinne and we were very disappointed in both the food and service. We had our daughter in law and 10 month old grandson with us.
The only plus - The staff was very nice about the baby, but the service was so slow that he became bored and fussy.
After ordering our entries it took over 30 minutes to get our food. We ordered a bottle of wine and our waitress kept pouring it with our glass still more than half full. Most waters/waitresses will wait until glasses almost full or even ask before pouring. By the time dinner arrived the wine was just about finished. We mentioned that the dinner was so slow in coming. She said if we like more wine we could purchase same brand by the glass. One bottle was plenty for us. We opted for more water.
The Grecian Chicken was dry and over done. Vegetable were overcooked on all entries.
It was a very disappointing experience and I will not recommend this restaurant to my worst friend.
You can't beat the atmosphere on the Gazebo. The restaurant is nice as well, with fantastic views. The food is good.
