When was the last time the general manager of a restaurant greeted you with a smile as soon as you walked in? Only at the St Charles CC on Main Street. As soon as we were seated, he asked if we would like to try any of the St Patrick Day's specials. Mind you, in an extremely friendly, very proud of the items sort of way, Our server (I did not ctach her name) was very cheerful, ready to answer any questions. We had water in seconds. This while many of the tables were full! When my wife asked about the St Patrick's soda, out server was very pleased.
A few minutes after my wife had her green fountain drink, the general manager stopped by to ask our thoughts. My wife was most pleased. Our food was served hot, exactly as requested ( very crisp hash browns, crisp bacon, the vegetables in my omelet were grilled, and the butter melting on the whole wheat toast). An excellent value, but more importantly we will return for the general attitude of the staff. I travel every week for Kodak, and eat out most meals. It was great to find a really pleasant place to eat in our home town, that was an excellent value, too.
