I recently went to Lagos June 2009 based on the reviews I seen and I was kinda disappointed. I went there for kinky twist and I had a bad experience. The owner has a really bad attitude, the shop was dirty and they were unsanitary, and I was very uncomfortable. Some of my kinky twist weren't even curled at the ends and when I went back to get them recurled, the owner acted like they were curly and didn't want to do it. Also, the price was another issue. She quoted ne $150 over the phone but she acted as if she never said that when i got to the shop. Its so many more things I could say and even though I like the way my kinky twist look I still wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone.
Very bad experience: Let's see where do I start? Well I went there because of the 2 excellent ratings that this shop got. I went there 1 week before to find out how much my hair would cost for micros because I have long hair. They gave me a price which I thought was high but still I said OK. I told the lady I wanted my hair done the next Friday and I asked what time should I come in. She said 8 or 9 I said 9 and she said OK. She didn't write it down and that bothered me. I asked her if I should bring my own hair and she said they would supply the hair. I knew that I didn't want the wet and wavy so I decided to buy my own hair. I got there at 8 am on Friday morning and the shop is closed. I sit there for 1 hour until 9 and that's when someone finally comes and opens the shop. They don't even open until 9 so I'm already mad. When I get there this lady (different from the original one) is looking at my hair in disgust because it's long. She's telling me my hair is too long to micro. I told her that I went there a week before and she asked if they gave me a price. It said yes but since I brought my own hair I wanted to know how much is would be assuming that it would be cheaper. She said no it's the same price because your hair is too long. Then she says that the hair I brought wasn't long enough so I had to go to buy more hair. I get back and it's after 10 am. Now another lady is there. She's looking at my hair in disgust because it's long. She tells me that she's going to charge me $25 more than my original price. I told her no that I was quoted this price and she said OK. Well after sitting until 10:45 at night we ran out of hair because she made the braids a little bigger than I was used to. I asked if I could come back the next morning and she said yes what time are you coming. I told her early hopefully by 9:30 am assuming that my beauty supply opened at 9. She said OK. I got there around 10am and of course she's not there only another lady who was already doing micros on someone else. It was another girl there waiting to get her hair done and I asked how long she'd been there she said for about an hour. I asked the lady if my braider was coming she said yes I will call her. Any way to make a long story short my braider didn't get there until about 12:10 and I had been there since 10 am. The other girl who had been waiting before me. She got there at 9 and the braider who was braiding her hair didn't get there until about 12:20. That's ridicilious!!! My braids are beautiful but I can't say it was worth everything that I went through to get them.
I will forever let them braid my hair!: I love going to lagos I went there twice for my kinky twist and micro braids I like the fact that when they braid they don't pull your hair so tight and that to me is a plus, they are quick but neat at the same time. I have mircos now and they are beautiful.
