    The staff is very nice. Wasn't happy with quality of work.
    They melted a button off a very expensive Italian shirt. Alterations weren't done very well, either. The hem on my pants came undone after the first washing...will not go back.

    Declining quality: I WAS a customer of O'Brien the Cleaners (yes the one on Stanley Ave in Berwyn) for more than 10 years. I have to agree with the other postings in saying that their quality has definately gone downhill. I also have had clothing damaged by them and then returned to me. When I brought it to their attention, imagine my surprise when they denied responsibility. They also refused to replace it or even to repair the items. The first time I let it go because I could not be 100% certain that I hadn't accidently ripped the item. After that incident, I always inspected every piece of clothing I took to them. So when it happened a second time, you better believe I was 100% certain that it was indeed their fault. Well, obvioulsy being a customer to 10 years means nothing to them. I will no longer use their services.

    Never a problem: I'm not sure what happened to the people who posted negative reviews and it makes me wonder if they are even talking about O'Brien! I have been going there for about 15 years and never had any problems. I have had cleaning and repairs done and have always been pleased. I found them very honest when they look over what I bring in-if a stain can be removed without ruining the fabric,etc. And I have always had friendly service from Mrs. O'Brien and her son. I would not say they offer fall-all-over-themselves-friendly service; if someone is looking for a place to fall at their feel when they walk in, then no-you won't get that here. But I think the service is just right.
