About:Seafood lovers rejoice. Oceanique as the name suggests celebrates seafood with innovative and imaginative dishes that transcend average cooking styles. Start with scallops in ginger dressing, perfect and succulent. But don't stop there. Bouillabaisse connoisseurs will relish the seafood-laden stew. The pan-seared salmon is moist and flaky, and the ginger-grilled calamari is cooked to perfection. The two or three non-fish specials daily rival their seafood counterparts. Homemade desserts and an excellent wine list complete the meal. Service is friendly and efficient. You will find lots of academic types here. Dress is casual, but wear something a bit more stylish than jeans.

My Fiance and I are from Chicago and decided to try Oceanique for something new and in the burbs. However, were very disappointed. There is NO ambiance. The lights are way too Bright , the candles were cheap, and there was nothing special about the place at all. Which is fine if your meal is $6 - ours was $300. They are extremely small portions for the price- especially when we have Hugos and Capital Grill here in the city with Huge portions for even less money + better ambiance. Unfortunately we were not happy at all with the price, food, and the place. A Positive was the service, it was great (as it should be with an expensive meal.) We will not go back. Try Hugos in the city - Awesome ambiance, service, and sea food + Steaks -

I am not a savvy food critique and havent been to restaurants that boast the highest caliber before, yet I heard from a friend, who is and has been, that Oceanique is great. I found discounted gift certificates online and took my fiance here on a Friday night. We were made very comfortable by the staff who was very happy to help me order. I am fairly well traveled and have been to France, Hawaii and all over the Caribean and can honestly say Ive never tasted seafood similar to Oceanique. The tuna tartar appetizer and beat salad was as unique tasting as it was inspiring. The chef, does a great job of taking quality familiar foods and combined them to achieve flavors that were amazing. Sometime in the middle of the meal, my fiance and I both started laughing out loud about how good the food was. At the end of the meal we were fortunate enough to actually meet the chef who obviously takes pride in his restaurant and seemed down to earth. This place truly was an experience, although it will take me some time of saving before I can go back.

    It's good.

Everything was excellent, portions were good.
I think the waiter was kind of snobby, but it was cool because he allowed me and my wife to be snobs right back.
Great wine pairings, STUNNING food, great service...
the best lobster dish I have ever had.

Yummy Foie Gras! Sublime Filet Mignon! Deserts are wow!

The food is very reasonably priced, very reasonably priced....Take a date or your wife, you'll win points.

    Very classy.

Thank you Oceanique, I had very high expectations and you met every one.
