User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsBad experience. They would not give us a price on the car we were interested in. We went to Ridgeway Chevrolet in Lansing Illinois to look at used cars and possibly purchase. Instead of showing us a few cars, the sales person interrogated us for about 20 minutes about everything under the sun; credit, why did we need to purchase, do we have a family, how much do we want to spend, which lender do we have, and asked if they could help us with our lender to get financing, etc. Alot of which is none of their business until I purchase. Finally, we walked around the lot (the sales person really didn't "show" us anything), saw something we liked and took it for a drive. When we returned to the showroom and asked for the price, the sales person of course had to talk to "the manager" and still could not give us a price. They said it's less than what is on the sticker, and we'll make you a really good deal. But no number. So I say okay I'm looking for something between this number and this number and they said well it might be just a tad over the high number (which I understand)and may also be okay with. But still they would not quote me a price. Thankfully there are many other dealers in the area that WILL quote me a price and that's where I'm headed.

I have bought two cars from this dealership and both were terrible!! The first car they blew up the tire and promised to fix the body damage but amazingly never did-always gave me the runaround. 5 years later I purchase my first new vehicle from this place against my better judgement-and the conversion van rained on the inside and the cargo door opened on it's own-not covered by their warranty because it was a conversion-Buyer Beware-they are liars!!! Not your friends after you sign the paperwork!!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsJust in case you didn't know, Ridgeway Chevy offers oil changes for $14.95. Not only do they give you an oil change, you also get an 31-point inspection and a car wash. Not that's alot for $15. And this offer is not only for chevys. It's any GM car. I think for trucks it's a little more, but it's still cheaper than going to one of those oil changes places or another dealership. Plus they were fast and did a good job on my car. I think I waited all of 30 minutes(if it was that long!). I would definately recommend them and I know I will go there again.
