   I used to get my hair done at various salons until a friend of mine talked me into going to the chop shop salon and urban retreat. I was impressed with the welcoming atmosphere, customer service, professionalism of the staff, and wide variety of services they offered. I have tried just about every service they have to offer and always leave with my expectations surpassed. I have recommended this salon to all my family, friends, and co-workers. Many of them have now become "regulars" as well. They have two locations; one in St. John and one in Lansing. I strongly recommend going to this salon, you will be glad you did.    My place to unwind, relax and just be pampered: The staff at the Chop Shop is wonderful. There is not one staff member that I could even say a negative thing about. They are a wonderful bunch of people who are at all times friendly, caring, kind, fun and yet very professional. The shop is always kept very clean and something to drink is always offered. I have been going for over five years and I look forward to every visit. It is my time to just relax and let myself be pampered.
