i tried to buy an insight,i have a 2009 trade in i checked the blue book to see what it was worth in a trade in ,so i made appointment over the internet ,take it for a ride,we sit to talk well we hit a block they say my car is not worth what the blue book says ,in fact they say they can buy it 4000 dollars cheaper at the auction ,so i said buy.i get an email later that day saying that they could get me a civic hybrid cheaper and they raised the price of my trade in to almost what i wanted. but i told them i wanted a color they did not have he said he look at another place, next day i get a call from him and he says that his boss did not think he could get one because the other dealers lie about the prices they show on the internet, did not even try to look for me,any way he got so mad at me that he hung up on me ,several hours later he email me saying he would look for one ,well i never got a call or an email from him ,so many lies ,double talk from this guy jim london was his name ,i guess its in there blood to lie to people maybe after a few weeks of not selling cars they might start telling some truth. any way if you go dont give in ,i gave it one stasr because they wont let you give them zero stars

This is the first time I've filled out a review, and in doing so I hope to save someone else some of the hassle and frustration I've experienced. The service department of the Joliet dealership has repeatedly treated me like crap. The Joliet store says they prefer to schedule service visits via e-mail, and they even dangle a 10% discount incentive on some services to encourage people to schedule their appointments through e-mail. In the past two weeks, I sent four requests for an appointment for shocks, oil change, and trans fluid change, and received only the automated acknowledgements that reminded me that the appointment wasn't a done deal until further contact was made. After the last attempt, I phoned the dealership to ask for a referral to the next closest dealership (which is 35 minutes away), and the person said is Valley Honda in Naperville. I explained that I made four requests for service at Joliet, all which were ignored, and assumed that Joliet doesn't want to work on my van and I'll have to go to another dealership. SHE HUNG UP ON ME!! Prior to this service need, the last service (oil change only) was satisfactory. The one prior to that, however, was anything but, as I had to make two additional return trips to the service department. One was because there was a rattle under the hood that turned outto be a spray can they left on the engine when they replaced the battery. Fortunately, I drove back to the dealership within the hour -- before the can overpressurized and exploded from the engine heat. My concern about this was met with a smart-ass remark. The next return trip (a few days later) was because they didn't install the windshield wiper refills correctly and the frame was dragging on the glass. That time they did apologize, recognizing that I was on the third trip for the same work. I had trouble scheduling that appointment, too -- two e-mails and a phone call were needed. Their excuse for ignoring my e-mail was that appointments aren't necessary for oil changes. I needed a battery as well, and wanted to make sure that the correct one was available. Fast forward to yesterday... I spent 5-1/2 hours and $423.45 at Valley Honda. They needed to make two trips for parts to Joliet. Everyone at the Valley Honda (the service writer, the cashier, the porter, and one of the salesman) that I spoke with couldn't have been nicer. What a difference in the way I was treated!!! The folks at Honda of Joliet should take scheduling and courtesy lessons from the Naperville folk. My van still needs quite a bit of work, and it's extremely unfortunate that I have to drive an extra hour for each service need. I expect to buy another vehicle within the next year, and I've totally lost my once-solid commitment to Honda products. Since I work long hours, I need to have a vehicle that can be serviced within a reasonable distance from home or work. The smart-ass comment from the service manager, the hang-up from the phone answerer, and the ignored e-mails earns this business a one-star AWFUL rating from me!
