Terrace Motel

I visited this hotel at night, and the hotel appearance was quiet, clean, cozy. The gentlemen at the counter was courteous and helpful. So far so good, However upon opening the door the room was just that - a room. Dingy not to be confused with dirty but drab is pretty accurate. (Chipped paint on door , mismatch furniture, sunburned drapes, etc..,) The bathroom was clean and had a better feel to it.
The rates were reasonable , and one could argue for $35/4 hours or $53/a night , plus $63/a night on weekends you get what you pay for. Its just I've been in more colorful, better kept rooms for a similar rate.
The one sacred item is the bed. Well, It had very hard spots that you had to avoid. The mattress and sheets were clean , not that I wanted to see all that underneath , but there was no mattress cover, or fitted sheets so the sheets slip off. Since, the mattress was exposed my girl checked the bed for mites, it passed the inspection .The bed had very thin sheets and sqeaked like a rusty swing. It is fair to say my girl was not impressed .
I was on the edge of rating this place poor. The room had a nice color tv w/cable,and premium channels w/ remote. So you know I turn the lights out quickly and turn the tv on right!!? Maybe time for a mattress check and a little minor remodeling , huh?
