We remodeled our kitchen this winter and Olson Electrical Contractors did all the electrical work. My house was built in the '60's and had many ungrounded outlets and few circuits. We went from having 3 accessible outlets in the kitchen to 11. We went from 1 circuit to 7. We were involved in all the planning sessions and Steve made many good suggestions on what to do. Our new smoke detectors work, my workshop is now grounded as is the basement and bathrooms. We put in a whole house surge suppressor as per his recommendation and now I feel that my new and old appliances are protected.
I have recommended Steve and his crew to several of our friends and relatives and hope to use him again.
We have had Olson Electrical do a number of jobs on our homes and have been very happy. Most recently he did the work on our basement remodel. He changed out the dated panel and designed the lighting and audio for the basement. It is superb. I feel confident in the work that is done. Honesty and integrity is so important in looking for any contractor, and Olson Electrical receives an A+ for that. You never have to worry about getting ripped off for shoddy work or work that really didn't need to be done. Highly recommended!!!
Olsen Electrical contractors was hired to upgrade the electrical to our new addition to an old home. After numerous attempts, difficulties scheduling and showing up on site, the works remains faulty and unfinished. They were paid fully and on time. We discovered that the smoke detectors were incorrectly installed (per the manufacture). As a result we are unable to properly use our outlets. Over the past few months, our numerous calls to attempt to correct this issue have remain unanswered. We continue to try to solve this issue.

I find this very unlikely Steve is a genius !!!! I rehabbed 3 houses and Steve was the electrician on all three and they all tied old electric into new. I never had a problem matter of fact he straightened the work out of the last three ecectricians on the first job it impressed me sooo!!! much I would never look for another Electricican. Most people in Batavia watched us rehab the house on the corner of Wilson St. and Prairie. And the one two doors down that has numerous additions. Steve had do deal with that mess and every other electricians rigg jobs !!! Steve has never avoided a call or an appointment. Matter of fact I look forward to the next job I can call him on !!
Unlikely or not, the proof is here. You are welcome to check it out for yourself. Believe me we have been dealing with this issue for a while. Our addition was finally finished a few months ago and the electricians are the only one who did not complete the work. I am certain that most people would not care to have all the houses smoke detectors on three floors go off when a vaccum cleaner or a tool is plugged in, and then have to find the one that was first set off. The manufacture recommends these smoke detectors to be installed on a separate circuit, just as we innitially requested it to be. but... there are not. Unfortunately, the work was paid for.
