Can you spell ~~~~ GREAT?: I've been dining at the Blue Parrot for a few years ... if you try nothing else, make sure you give the Cuban Sandwich a whirl ... holy smokes, if a sandwich gets any better than this ... .I'd swear I made it myself!! The Cafe is a definite plus to the Riverside area .... well worth your effort to visit .. but before you go, check hours open and days ... .limited.

Too bad Riverside doesn't have much else to offer .... nice houses, noisy trains and a great Cubano Sandwich : )

Weekly lunch spot never gets old.: I work in Riverside quite often and have definitely found my lunch spot while in town. Everything on the menu has been great and the soup brings me back to memories of grandma... homemade and delicious.

Good service and ambiance.

A must try for the locals. There really isn't anything comparable in the area.

Can't Get Enough: I have lived near the Blue Parrot for over a year. I had never been there until a few weeks ago. A friend of mine raves about the place, so when she asked me if I wanted to meet her there for lunch, I decided to give it a try.

The place is really cute; great art, books all around. The people working were really nice and very helpful. At first I hesitated when I looked at the menu. I am more of a burger and fries kind of guy, but that wasn’t an option. Instead, I ordered the tuna melt. Wow. I was craving another one for the majority of the week.

I ended up heading back to the Blue Parrot this past weekend. I ordered the Cuban, another great sandwich.

My only complaint is that they are only open during the day.
