I love the School Of Performing Arts! It's so professinal, they give your child one-on-one time. They offer ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop. These classes are all fun, but they do call steps by proper names. (They are very strict about them in ballet.) My daughter has been here for almost six years. I think anyone looking for the perfect dance studio, might as well come here!
My daughter took Jazz and Ballet here for 2 years. Jazz and Tap are really the strong suit for this school. The ballet classes had a very modern feel to them. The movements were not always called by their proper french names. The classes in Ballet were more "fun" than serious study of ballet. My child now attends a ballet school and has had to make up for the lost instruction. This school is ok if your child is a recreational dancer looking for some fun. If you have an older child (8 and up) who have some serious dance ambition this is not the place for you.
Actually, I disagree with you, a lot. My daughter goes their three times a week. She is ten years old, and loves it. Their ballet teachers are very serious with proper names. If you want serious dancing, try out for their competetive dance ensemble. The compete and perform a lot. Their studio has one dance recital that has five days to it. It's very professinal. Their costumes are really cute, too! I would reccomons here for everyone wanting to take dance. My daughter has been dancing here for five years.
