Products and Services:Full service meat counter filled with only the best beef,pork,chicken,lamb, and veal. As well as daily prepared items such as our marinated hawaiian marinated pork tenderloins and Itailian basil chicken breasts. We also have a full service deli carrying over 25 boars head lunch meats and cheeses as well as daisy brand products. The beef that we get in is still the same quaility hanging beef that we started carrying over 27 years.

    I never cook that much but I really felt like a 4 stare chef when I followed the easy directions that came with the beef tenderloin I bought. I liked that the staff was very friendly and went out of there way to listen to me. This was my first visit and i am confident that I will return. I asked for a rub that was popular and it was excellent, I cant wait to see what else they can suprise me with.

    Outstanding!! The staff is excellent - very helpful and very polite. I've been shopping there over 11 years now, since I moved to Darien. The Italian marinated Chicken Breasts are fantastic, as are the stuffed chicken breasts and pork chops. Actually, everything I've ever purchased there has been excellent.

    I have been using Jim's for YEARS and totally agree with the other 5 star reviews. Need to clarify one thing, though: Jim was the original owner, but it is now being run by his children who have been w oorking there since they were young. I was Jim's customer when he was the butcher at the little grocery store in Woodridge 30 years ago. When they closed, he opened his own store. Once in a while, he'll still go in to help.
    The shish-ka-bobs and marinated pork tenderloins are great and theirs is the only ground beef I will eat--98% lean and no bone chips!
    I wish they would never take off. I once had to order pork chops from another well-known, "fantastic" butcher in downtown Downer's Grove and was terribly disappointed in the cut and quality of the meat. I do love that they're open on Sundays, though!
