We visited the museum on Thursday, January 22, 2009 while in Chicago for my sons graduation from the Navy, Great Lakes, Illinois. The museum was free that day. If you are visiting, check on-line for those days that are free. So much to see you can't do it all in one day. Sue was awesome to see. Also, Indian in our family. One of the biggest Indian displays I have ever seen. Totem Poles were huge. Could have spent hours just in this one exhibit. They also have several laboratories that are ongoing right in the museum. Interesting to see. We will definitely be back to this museum again and do recommend it as a must see to everyone. So much history to appreciate there and such a variety of exhibits.
I was not impressed at all...not only was this museum boring, but every employee that we ran into had a personality of a rock, asking a question seemed like a big inconvenience to them and going threw the line to get tickets reminded me of how prisoners would be treated going threw intake...if you want to go to a good museum and be treated well I suggest going to The Museum of Science and Industry!!
Was expecting a little more, but enjoyed what i got....the life size fossil of the T-Rex Sue was insane......really cool......would love to go back and see some of the things i missed........
