Maggiano's - Italian Catering & Restaurant

HUGE entrees, nothing spectacular about the flavor of any dish though.... unfortunately portion size does NOT make up for the lack in flavor. Bread with plain olive oil was just nasty.... Service was less than 100%.... server was a bit scatter brained, a chatty Cathy with no real server abilities.. ... pricing is for more 'upscale' than this place is.... ...... would not make a point to go back for a second try...

The best family style dining around. If you enjoy Italian food and lots of it this is the palce to be. We went on a SUnday after church and there were about 15 in out party with quite a few children.

We started with two appetizers: spinach and artichoke dip and the best fried mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce I've ever had. The kids love that and they were gone in no time. For our entrees we ordered spaghetti and meat balls for the children, salmon with dill sauce, chicken caciatorre and spinach and chicken manicotti with a cream white sauce which was delicious. There was so much food and plenty to carry home. For dessert we had creme brulee and Nona's pound cake which had chocolate sauce over vanilla bean ice cream with bananas. I want to go back right now, but it's after midnight. I like family style dining when there are a lot of people with children. The room was loud with laughter and conversation which was jsut fine with me. It's a place that serves up the best food and the ambience isn't bad either. You'll enjoy yourself.

Try the lobster raviolli: Make sure you order whole orders and take some home for later. You tummy will thank you! Great Martinis also.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!: summertime. outside table with our friends. great beer and better food. My wife introduced me to Maggianos, she used to live in Chicago. The absolute best New York strip I've ever had and the sides were incredible. I am sold. This is probably one of the top three dining experiences I've ever had. I lived in Europe for five years. You gotta' go.

Authentic Italian: I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a real taste of italian cooking. Maggianos represents Chicago italian dining in a positive light. The service makes you feel right at home and the people are amazing. Maggianos deserves this five star rating!

Maggiano's Little Italy: By far the best restaurant around. The Salmon is superb, the vegetables are cooked to perfection and the ambiance is all the rave. Although their eggplant parm is not as good as my home made, it runs a close second. I'd recommend you check it out next time you are in Chicago.

nice downtown view: Ask for a table outside, and you can enjoy all the fun of Chicago on a Saturday evening. Food and service are also excellent

Do you love Italian food???: If you LOVE Italian food you must try Maggiano's Little Italy! The food,service,
environment and everything is awesome. They do have high price ,but you get
what you pay for. Unlike some places that charge a fortune for three pieces of
food...ya know. You get large portions and it's not like you have to eat it all because they are completely excited about you taken bags of leftovers home.
It reheats great....not like most foods.lol It's a fancy place ,but they are cool
with you if you dress casual! Mmmm, hungry just thinking about it. If you don't
believe me ....go try it...even if you do believe me ...GO TRY IT! :) You don't have to live in Chicago to go there....look it up...they are all over. I have been to
Chicago IL, Tampa FL, Atlanta GA, and Jacksonville FL.

If you can wait it's worth it.: My suggestions: the mushroom ravioli is an appetizer but you will clean the plate!!! It's awesome! The penne shrimp and artichoke which I found to be acceptable. The chicken and spinach manicoti was out of this world. I am not a huge chicken fan but this was really worth it! The ambiance was nice, a little dark and somewhat loud for my taste, but fine overall. We went on a saturday at around 5pm the wait was an hour. We left to do some shopping and came back to find they had already called our names. As a courtesy they checked to see if our table had been seated, it was not so they seated us immediately. The wait seemed to fall off as of 7pm but picked up at 8pm the line went all the way into the bakery. I would suggest getting there when they open.

Great place to dine!: The service is excellant :) If you like nice a italian cusine, check this place out!!

Great Food, Great Value: You simply cannot go wrong with Maggiano's. Particularly the family style dining. The fact that this is a Lettuce Entertain You Restaurant means service is impeccable! For dessert, try Nona's poundcake for a refreshing change of pace.

Great family style dining: This restaurant is great for family style dining. I ate here with a very large group (over 100 people) and was amazed at the prompt service and selection of dishes. Best calamari I've had in a long time.

All-around Great Dining Experience: Everything from the moment we walked in was classy and elegant. The atmosphere was charming and comfortable like an Italian restaurant should be. The service was polite and excellent. The food was better than was expected. And the check at the end was reasonable.

Just the best meatballs ever.......: Me and my two friends went to Chicago in May and Maggiano's was just a few blocks from our motel. This was our first trip to the Wind City and wanted to try some Italian food Chicago style and we couldn't have picked a better place to go to. We thought their spaghetti and meatballs are the best. Very friendly staff, the atmosphere was great and you can sit outside if you want. You get more than enough food for a great price. I really recommend this restaurant when you are in Chicago.

Maggianos: This is a great restaurant for family style eating.

Beautiful Evening for not alot of $$$: My boyfriend and I wanted to go out to a nice restraunt and have an awesome Chicago evening with out spending an arm and a leg. We were greated by friendly faces and with our reservations, we were seated ASAP. The just over all presentation made us feel like we were at a restraunt that was $50 a plate instead of $15-$20. The food was awesome and our server was so professional. Were going again this weekend with our friends and can't for the ravolli's again.

Maggiano's Take Out: The food is excellent and a great value for the money. I ordered take out this time and delivery was prompt. I've been to the restuarant and like the atmosphere. Overall quite nice.
