    When in Chicago...: If you like Chicago style blues up close and personal, stop by Blue Chicago on Clark Street in the River North area. It is a very small blues bar that always has some of the best local and legendary Chicago blues players performing. The enormously large doorman/bouncer, Lorenzo, is friendly and keeps everybody else that way while you have a good time. The waitresses will keep your drinks promptly refreshed right up until closing a 2 AM. There is a cover charge, but well worth it.

    What music is about: From the moment you walk in the door, the sultry voice of the woman on stage surrounds your very being. You can't help but fall in love right away. The employees there make you feel that on this particular night, at that very moment, you're home. Although the prices of drinks don't make you feel so much at home, but sadly reminded that you are downtown. And yet, it's worth every penny. It is the most sensational time you will have. To be able to sip your cocktail while listening to the sounds of the best blues in town, that's my own piece of heaven.
