I stayed here due to proximity to McKormick Place. I felt I was taken advantage of - $5 for a cup of coffee, $13 for a drink in the bar. while it may be close to McCormick Place it is not close to anything else. Oh yeah - rooms w/out a view go fo $255.

As in most hotel the checkout time is 12 noon on the weekend. I was hoping to sleep until about 11am but was awaken with a several taps at the door around 9:55am. When I realized someone was at the door after another rounds of taps I asked who was it and did not hear a reply. I checked the peep hole and seen it was housekeeping. She asked what time I was leaving and I told her maybe around an hour, she asked what time can she return and again I said around an hour. She gave no thank you or sorry that she disturbed me and proceeded to tap on the door across the hall from me. I decided to leave the hotel an hour early because I felt rush to leave. While checking out I asked for the Manager and explained what happened. The Manager did not offer his name and told be I should have put the do not disturb on the door. I then offered my suggestion that instead of having a list of doors to knock on in the morning that maybe the hotel should ask when checking in what time do they plan on leaving. The Manager was very blatant on the hotel policy and said that all Hyatt's Hotel has the same policy. I will never go back to the Hyatt and will tell every company that plan on having a convention not to stay at this Hyatt.
