| About: | Wrigley Field is one of the country's oldest ballparks, this is also one of the prettiest. You will not find Astroturf here because the fans would not allow it. The ivy grows thick and heavy along the outfield walls, and the grass is kept a lush green. Now home to the Chicago Cubs, at one time the Chicago Bears team played here. Even if you are not a sports fan, you can enjoy a day here. There is a sense of history and bygone times to satisfy anyone looking for a slice of the past. Make sure to grab a hot dog and an over-priced beer before finding your seat to watch the ball game. Do not forget to see the statue of the famous radio and Television Broadcaster Haray Carry outside the Wrigley Field. The other thing one should not miss is the Wrigley's famous Knothole Parking is in very short supply and very expensive once you find it. Your best bet is to take the CTA's Red Line or park at least a mile west of the ballpark and walk. Tickets can be booked online. |

The person below me must be a total moron. Wrigley Field is not a neo-modern faux Wrigley Field with swanky club seats and Ahi Tuna Sushi, nor does it want to be.
This is the only really true ballpark left along with Fenway that holds the true original baseball essence and experience. It was built in an era of simple times. If you want shooting water cannons, laser light shows and padded club seats with a wine bar do not go here.
If you want to view the game as it was meant to be viewed in the purest form you'll love it here. Yes there is alot of partying here. People from all over the WORLD make a mecca here. I was fortunate enough to live within walking distance about 7 years ago. I kind of grew to take it for granted. I regret that now. The surrounding neighborhood is one of the nicest urban areas in any large city in the USA.
Forget about frills and kick back with an Old Style which will probably been served semi warm but you didn't come here for an extensive drinking experience did you? Watch the game and be glad it wasn't put to the wrecking ball and god forbid it ever is.
What a bunch on crap...don't use the bathrooms, you may want to go to the hospital after doing so, and make sure you don't take the little ones. Way too many drunks in the place. Seems to be a hugh drunk fest. I'll never go back.
Even Superheros love the Cubs.: Watching the Cubbies play from the Friendly Confines is a spiritual experience. Best ballpark in the MLB, one of the most tradition laden teams, in one of the best cities in the country.
What's not to love?

this place is hallowed ground, and those that know that and appreciate baseball tradition and the game itself, may never wnat to see a game anywhere else. including fenway. visiting wrigleyville and wrigley field is an experience like no other. and, bring the kids. if you want clean bathrooms, go to the opera or a country club. besides. there's nothing like urinating on the white sox bumber stickers in the urinals. just makes you feel good. the intoxicated fans are probably sox fans attemping to stumble their way back to the the southside. 40,000 fans can scare the heck out of you when you are used to 18,000 on a saturday night at the "cell". a chicago landmark and a must see. and, you will. again, again and again. go cubs go!
