| About: | This tiny Lincoln Park sushi joint is easy to miss, but make sure you don't. It's unassuming exterior leads you to a calm, quiet interior. Green Tea is an underground favorite of sushi lovers who want good quality sushi with very little fuss. All the staples of sushi are represented without the arrogance. Green Tea isn't for large groups, however. At maximum, it seats 17 at five tables and the sushi bar. The bulk of the business is take away, given there is no room to even wait for a table in the store-front property. |

Possibly the best sushi in the city. I've been to most of the high roller sushi places and as far as quality goes, Green Tea is my hands down favorite. Very small storefront but that's a good thing. BYOB!! Fish is brought to resturant fresh everyday. Spicy Tuna is excellent. Menu contains some creative local maki such as the "Chicago Crazy Spicy". Also, the seared whitefish special is a must order. It has been Reader Recommended several times. Bottom line. It's the best. Also, I don't take just anybody there. Only my special friends get to find out about what I would call the best kept sushi secret in Chicago.

greatest sushi EVER!!!: I love this place. It's a little small, but the food is so awsome! It's quite a bargain as well. The chefs prepare your sushi right in front of you and there are so many tasty dishes there. The miso soup is good, but save room for the New York maki. It's BBQ eel like you've never had before! Also try the Special California, I get it every time, and the spicy tuna is excellent. Every dish is always so consistently good. Nothing I can write will do this place justice, you definitely have to try it for yourself!
little place, great food: I have been to this place for many years. The food is always good. Try spicy tuna and crunchy roll, also a spicial roll with super white tuna(can't remember the name), you will love it.
