My wife and I went out for a romantic dinner and picked G.S.I. We had a fantastic time. The owner was there greeting the guest and stopping by some of the tables to make small talk. He was cool, and my wife and I were surprised he was there on a Saturday night. Even though my wife gave the place a 3 out of 5 on our romantic scale she was very pleased. She had their popular ribs and thought they were absolutely delicious. We recommend anyone going here. It had good service, very good food and a pleasant atmosphere.
Gale Street is a Chicago icon. Live out of the area now, but when I come in, we have to have a Gale Street session. Good variety of food and the ribs are still wonderful. Great prime rib too, and other very fine dishes. Tables too tight though and they could use a little extra room. Had a wonderful party there too in the adjoining room and the waitstaff couldn't be more friendly or accomodating for the size of the group. I still love this place after at least 35 years!
Food is "ok".
Ribs pretty tuff and dry.
I like them "fall of the bone" and meaty
like Perry's Ribs in Park Ridge.
They are Awesome!
